Do you want to deactivate your Facebook account?
Facebook allows you to either delete your Facebook account permanently, or deactivate it temporally so that your friends, your photos and your messages will not be deleted permanently but you will be inactive until you decide to use Facebook again by simply log in to your account.
If you want to deactivate your Facebook account, its very easy, follow this steps:
1. Login to your Facebook account using your username and password

Then at your Facebook home, go to the top right menu and click the downward arrow as shown in the below image.
On settings menu, click the security tab (below general) and at the bottom you will see the link to deactivate your account.
After clicking the deactivation link, you will be asked to provide reasons why you want to deactivate your account, simply check "other" then write anything in the text box eg, (just deactivate) and click CONFIRM.
Also you can decide to check email options if you dont want to receive notifications.
The last step will be to confirm your action by entering your password and your account will be deactivated for good.
